Obituary:
Mr. Albert Bennett, Jr., age 72, of Anderson, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at AnMed Medical Center.
Born September 27, 1937 in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Albert, Sr. and Ferrell Elliott Bennett. He worked in property Management with US Shelter Corporation. Mr. Bennett was a member of the US Army Reserves and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple of Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Bennett.
He is survived by daughters: Donna Bennett of Anderson, Diane Dearybury of Greenville, and Debbie Grisanti of Greenville; sister: Nell McElmoyle of Greenville; brother: Gene Bennett of Anderson; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services with will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
