Obituary:
was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Aliza Cobb SS Class and the Happy Agers.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet C. Moorhead of Canon; three sons, Bill Cordell of Panama City Beach, FL, Bob Cordell of Hartwell and Tommy Cordell of Toccoa; two sisters, Alice Ruth Shiflet of Warner-Robins and Eulane “Lanie” Thomas of Thomson; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Isham “Brick” Cordell; two brothers, Orin Adams and Don Adams and five sisters, Dallas Cordell, Troyce Clark, Twin sister Jeanette McCormick, Sara Bannister and Sara Nell Vickery.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Rev. James Sexton officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Pless officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 Wednesday morning.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night. The family is at the home. Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 3285 Elberton Hwy., Hartwell, GA 30643.
