Obituary:
Ms. Elsie Merie McCollum, age 78, of Toccoa, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at her home.
Born April 29, 1932 in Royston, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel and Maggie Royster McCollum. She worked at Stone Manufacturing for a number of years and was of the holiness faith
She is survived by her son: Tal Mark McCollum of the home; sister: Ruby Blackmon of Canon; niece: Vicky Carter of Canon; and nephew: Jerry Blackmon of Commerce.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
The family will receive friend at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 2:00 pm until the funeral hour.
