Obituary:
Mrs. Melissa Shannon (Burrell) Gregory, age 40, of Martin, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Cobb Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born March 6, 1969, in Rockdale County, she was the daughter of Ronnie Burrell and Judy (Vessell) Copeland. She worked with Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. She was a member of Double Branches Baptist Church and the Franklin County Community Players.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband: Bruce Gregory; daughter: Savannah Gregory; son: Christian Gregory; and sister: Michelle Claxton.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. David Wilson and Rev. Corey Pulliam officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 1st at 1:00 p.m. CST at Rainsville Memorial Park, Rainsville, AL.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
