Obituary:
Mr. Douglas S. Crawford, age 88 of 12 Cobb Village Drive, Apt. 47D, Royston, GA, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at Hart Co. Hospital.

Born March 24, 1921 in Clifton, NJ, he was the son of the late George Crawford and Sophie Leimbach Crawford. He was retired from Picatinny Arsonal as a Program Analyst. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Royston, GA and American Legion Post #109. He was also a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran and served in the Pacific Theater.

He is survived by: Wife, Kathryn Carlile Crawford of Royston, GA; Son, Gordon R. Crawford of Morristown, NJ; Son in law, Scott Levin of Chicago, IL; Three grandsons, Cory Levin, Carl Levin and Christopher Levin and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Parents and a Daughter, Virginia Ann “Ginger” Levin.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Hulon Bryant and Rev. Andy Huff will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday from 12 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family is at the home.
