Obituary:
Mrs. Joy Leigh Smith Cochran, 58, of 1721 Martin Villa Road, Elberton, GA, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at her home.

Born August 30, 1951 in Elbert County, GA, she is the daughter of Lewis H. Smith of Elberton, GA and the late Faye Kidd Smith. She was a Clerk at American Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Elberton.

She is survived by: Father; Sons, Joey Chatham of Columbia, SC and Jayson Chatham of Goldsboro, NC; Sisters, Jo Banister and her husband Bobby of Hartwell, GA, Janine Scarborough and her husband Keith of Elberton, GA and Angela Johnson and her husband Terry/TJ of Elberton, GA; Grandchildren, Cameron Chatham and Conley Chatham; Several nieces and nephews and special friend: Cindy Williamson of Washington. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Faye Kidd Smith and her husband, Winfred “Wimp” Cochran.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Eliam United Methodist Church. Rev. Wes Privett and Rev. Shane Duncan will officiate.
