Obituary:
Ms. Shirley Elaine Thomas Andrews, age 62, of Lavonia, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born May 20, 1947, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Ruby Atkinson Thomas and the late Jesse Frank Thomas. She was formerly a receptionist with Napa Auto Parts. Mrs. Andrews was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother: Ruby Thomas of Lavonia; daughter and son-in-law: Leigh & Bill Thomas of Lavonia; sister & brother-in-law: Jean & Bobby Watkins of Lavonia; and grandsons: Chance & Jesse Thomas of Lavonia.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Moore and Rev. Paul Jameson officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church.
