Mrs. Lois Martin Brown, age 82, of 151 Woodlake Landing, Hartwell, GA died Tuesday, November 03, 2009 at her home.
Born August 20, 1927 in Anderson Co., SC, she was the daughter of the late Fred M. Martin and Ellen Herring Martin. She was retired from Gip’s Mfg. and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
She is survived by: Son, Jimmy Dwain Brown of Hartwell, GA; Daughter, Joan Berry and her husband Gene of Lawrenceville, GA; Brother, Robert E. Martin of Powder Springs, GA and a grandchild, Brad Myers. She is preceded in death by Parents; Husband, Bennie “Ben” W. Brown, and a Brother, Fred Martin.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Joe Black will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2973 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
