Obituary:
Mrs. Minnie Clark Heaton, 97, of Fountainside Elder Care, Fountain Inn SC, formerly of Hartwell, died Saturday, December 26, 2009.

Born on May 7, 1912 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late John Clark and Hettie Hilliard Clark and step-daughter of the late Vinnie Clark. She was a homemaker, member of the Sardis Baptist Church, where she taught SS School and was active in other church activities and the WMU.

Survivors include a son, Danny Heaton of Mauldin SC; a daughter, Phyllis Cochrane of Taylors SC; three granddaughters, Laura Fee and her husband Kevin, Lisa Cochrane and Kathleen Cochrane; a sister, Doris Moorhead of Canon also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother; brother, Howard Clark and two sisters, Margaret Shirley and Nannie Ertzberger.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. John Silver officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and after the funeral service. The family will be at the home of Ann and Herman Temples after the funeral service. Memorials may be made to Sardis Baptist Church, 4359 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
