Obituary:
Mrs. Julia Osborne Ayers, of 369 H N Ayers Rd, Hartwell, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at her home.

Born on March 14, 1913 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late N S Osborne and Emma Risner Osborne. She was a homemaker and a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Canady of Hartwell; a grandson, Michael Canady of Hartwell; a granddaughter, Tracy Canady and her husband Troy Smith of Anderson SC; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is preceded in death by her husband, H N Ayers; two sisters, Mary McMillian and Lula Welborn and a brother, Joe E. Osborne.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Betty Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Ayers Family Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2 ~ 3 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
