Alexius Anna Spencer, age 25, of Bowersville, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. Born November 14, 1996, in Toccoa, she was the daughter of Randy Spencer and the late Barbara Faye (Miller) Pitts. She was employed with First Quality Tissue as an operator. She previously worked for Purina in Hartwell, where she made many friends. She was a member of Encounter Church. Alex loved music, decorating, and drawing, but her greatest love was her children. She had a smile that could light up the darkest day and had a unique way of encouraging others, regardless of what she was going through. She is survived by her children: Zay Allen and Hendrix Allen; siblings: Brandi Lumpkins & husband Keith, Danielle Nicholson and Joanna Williams & husband Rob; nieces and nephews: Brandon Spencer, Adrionna Spencer, Kailey Lumpkins, McKenna Lumpkins, Noah Lumpkins, Marcus Williams, Robbie Dean, and Gavin Dean; aunts & uncles: Annette & Jeff Bryant of Carnesville, Teresa & Michael Thomas of Martin, Jennifer Spencer of Martin, and Missy & Mike Brooks of Carnesville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 at Encounter Church in Toccoa with Pastor Joshua Garner officiating. A private burial will follow in the Old Liberty Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or donations may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Drew Bryant, Bradley Gerrells, Josh Rickman, Evan Thomas, Ethan Thomas and Eric Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Samantha Bryant and Kayla Thompson. Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia is in charge of the arrangements.
