Mrs. Janice Page Kay, 88, of Whispering Way, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Hartwell Health & Rehab. Born on July 24, 1933 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joe Neal Page and Ina Gaines Page. Mrs. Kay was a retired seamstress from Bellcraft, and she was a member of the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter: Christal Kay Nash (Robert) of Hartwell; one brother: Henry Page (Edna) of Easley, SC; one sister: Gail Jenkins (Jack) of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren: Marcy Fain, Amanda Nash, Cainan Kay, Lora Bryant, and Annelise Allgood; eleven great grandchildren: Chase, Lexie, Tori Belle, Sophia, Cohen, Adeline, Lane, Beau, Avery Kate, Bailey Anna, Emory Claire, and two great-great grandchildren: Willow and Everley. Mrs. Kay is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Edgar “Ed” Kay; son: Furman W. Kay; four brothers: Bob, Jim, Phil, Dale, and Charles Page; and two sisters: Jean Estes and Connie White. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes. A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Janice Kay’s life will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Michele May officiating. Her ashes will be interred at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, and memorials may be made to the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, 1473 Liberty Hill Church Rd, Hartwell, GA 30643. The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
