Mr. Tom D. Christman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Thomas D. “Tom” Christman, 72, of Canon, passed away peacefully at Emory University Hospital surrounded by his family and friends on June 16, 2022. Born on April 10, 1950 in Kingwood, WV, he was the son of the late Denzel Leeotis Christman and Marie Sisler Christman. Tom was raised in Ohio where he met and married his high school sweetheart Pat. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and lived around the country until moving to Georgia. After working at Equifax for 20 years, Tom and Pat moved to the Hartwell area where he was active in many organizations. He loved golfing and was a big help to his golfing buddies. He was also a skilled woodworker and gifted many of his creations on his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pat Brumagin Christman, son, Patrick Christman and his wife Terri, granddaughters, Carlee and Michaela, and great grandson, Logan. Mr. Christman was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Vicki Kleister and Janet Szekely. A memorial mass for Mr. Tom Christman will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Rafael Castaño officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after the mass in the Founder’s Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1009 Benson St, Hartwell, GA 30643. The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
