Mr. William Aaron Gailey, age 82, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home.
Born June 1, 1936, in Stephens County, he was the son of the late P. C. and Sula Mae (Cash) Gailey. Prior to retirement, he was a self employed heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran of the Georgia National Guard and a member of New Franklin Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Sherry (Godfrey) Gailey; sons & daughters-in-law: Russell & Penny Gailey and Randall & Lane Gailey; daughter & son-in-law: Renee & Kenneth Wood; sisters & brothers-in-law: Louise & Fred Cochran and Doris & Allen Melton; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Jamie Weaver.
Mr. Gailey was cremated in accordance with his request. He will be interred in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. No formal services will be planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to New Franklin Christian Church.
