Mr. Adam Jeremiah "A.J." Chitwood, age 28, of Clarkesville, died Monday, July 18, 2016 at Habersham County Medical Center from injuries sustain in a house fire along with his wife Tina Marie (Hoffman) Chitwood.
Born December 8, 1987 in Demorest, GA, he was the son of Teresa (Ridley) Tullis and Benji Chitwood. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother & stepfather: Teresa & Jerry Tullis of Mt. Airy; father & stepmother: Benji Chitwood & Jessica of Clarkesville; maternal grandmother: Janice Miller & Benny of Sautee; maternal grandfather: Ricky Ridley & Brenda of Cleveland; paternal grandparents: Albert & Frances Chitwood of Clarkesville; stepson: Gary Paul Stratton II; sister: Jana Chitwood; brothers: Ben Chitwood, Tyson Chitwood & Rocky Tullis; and nephews: Isaac & Keegan.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the New Vision Worship Center in Baldwin with Rev. Mickey Umbehant officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the service time.
