Miss Addie Jean Scott, 90, of Sunset Road, Canon, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at her home.

Born on March 26, 1925 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon and Georgia Anna Ayers Scott.She was a seamstress and a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church.

Survivors include one sister: Ruby Nell Dowell of Royston. She was preceded in death by one brother: Isaac James Scott; six sisters: Marie Holland, Beatrice Mahoney, Loreen Cameron, Mazelle Blackwell, Lois Fowler and Bertie Mae Scott.

Funeral services will be at Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Mike Fugate officiating.Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Flat Shoals Baptist Church, 2999 Bowersville Hwy, Bowersville, GA 30516.
