Mrs. Agnes Lucille (Cawthon) Mitchell Richardson, age 83, of Lavonia, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home.
Born July 13, 1933, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Buren and Selma (Swift) Cawthon. She retired from Milliken as a seamstress. She was a member of Barnette Grove Emmanuel Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands: L. T. Mitchell & Arthur Richardson; son: Keith Mitchell; brothers: John Henry Cawthon, Jimmy Cawthon, Jake "J.B." Cawthon, and Frankie Lee Cawthon.
She is survived by her son: Vance Mitchell, of Lavonia; sister: Gladys Gibson; brother: Howard Cawthon; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Gettis Allen and Rev. Hubert Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service time. At other times the family will be at the home.
