Mr. Albert P. Carey, 57, of Ridge Road, Hartwell, died Friday, May 2, 2014 at his home.

Born on January 11, 1957 in Royston GA, he was the son of the late James L. Carey and Frances Smith Carey.He was a member of the Hartwell Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Jan Goddard Carey; three sons: Keith Carey & his wife Angela and Jonathan Carey all of Canon and Brad Carey & his wife Stephanie of Bowersville; a daughter: Jessica Lynn Carey of Canon; four brothers: Alan Carey of Royston, Roger Carey of Hartwell, Wayne Carey and Joe Carey both of Lavonia; two sisters: Diane Davis of Lavonia and Lillian Oglesby of Bowman; thirteen grandchildren also survive.Mr. Carey was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Carey.

Memorial services will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hartwell Church of God with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Rev. Courtney Umbehant officiating.The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to offset Medical and Funeral expenses.
