Mrs. Aldeen Bailey Cook Baker, 86, of Opal Street Ext., Hartwell, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on April 29, 1933 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Pearson H. Bailey and Dolly Chastain Bailey.Mrs. Baker was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: Rayford H. Baker; two sons: Jim Cook (Anita), Jeff Cook (Kristi); two daughters: Kathy Hiott (Jerry), all of Hartwell, Margie Thornton (Lanny), of Bowersville; two step- daughters: Tina Baker of Atlanta and Patsy Spivey (Dan) of Hartwell; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Jimmy Cook; two brothers: McLees Bailey, Louis Bailey; two sisters: Guynelle Holbrook and Louise Bailey.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Aldeen Baker will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
