Mrs. Alice L. Walters Haley, 92, of Cleveland Mill Road, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her home.

Born on May 17, 1925 in Lavonia GA, she was the daughter of the late Levis Charles Walters and Pearl Shirley Walters.Mrs. Haley retired from the Hart County School System, after 33 years of service, where she was the Lunchroom supervisor.She was also a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors her two daughters; Linda Harris and Peggy & William Tucker all of Hartwell; four sons: Larry & Linda Haley, Jerry & Susan Haley, Kenneth & Margaret Haley and Roger Haley & Shirley all of Hartwell; seventeen grandchildren & twenty-two great-grandchildren; a sister: Gloria Foster & J.R. of Lavonia; two brothers-in-law: Billy King & Danny Isom both of Lavonia and a sister-in-law: Pat Walters of Lavonia also survives.Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her husband: Joe G. Haley; a son-in-law: Blane Harris; two sisters: Shirley King & Kathy Isom; a brother: Charles L. Walters; great-grandson: Josh Barron and a great great-grandson: Leo Harris

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry James & Rev. Tommy Childress officiating.Burial will be in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.The family is at the home of Peggy & William Tucker, 1848 Mt.
