Mrs. Alice Fay Floyd Risner, 69, of Old 29 Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC.
Born on August 2, 1951 in Abbeville SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Floyd and Sallie Mae Carter Floyd Reed.Mrs. Risner was a process line worker for Pilgrim's Pride in Elberton, and a member of the Bowersville Church of God.
Survivors include her son: Chris Evans (Mindy) of Orangeburg, SC; daughter: Debbie Fay Risner (Martin Garcia) of Hartwell; one brother: Henry Lee Floyd of Hartwell; three sisters: Sallie Holmes of Hartwell, Florence "Sissy" Franks (Burl) of Seneca, SC, Louise Wallace of Elberton; and three grandchildren: Austin Risner (Skyler), Ashley Driver, and Porshia Evans. Mrs. Risner is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Thomas Reuben "Tommy" Risner; one brother: Dallas Floyd; and two sisters: Frances Gunnells and Peggy Jackson.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at the home of Sallie Holmes, 80 Baker Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
Graveside services for Mrs. Alice Risner will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Durden officiating.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
