Mr. Charles Allen Lesseur, 78, of Royston Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Kindred Hospice, Athens GA.

Born on December 26, 1939 in Elberton GA, he was the son of the late Marcus Reese Lesseur and Hazel Butler Lesseur.Mr. Lesseur was a former manager of Goodyear Service Stores in Elberton, Macon and Hawkinsville GA, former manager of John Duncan Tires in Royston and Greensboro GA and retired owner-operator of Allen's Pro Tire of Hartwell.He was a former member of the Hartwell Optimist Club and Royston Lions Club.Allen is a member of the Philomathea Masonic Lodge, Elberton GA and the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.He was also a U. S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife: Sara Lesseur; his daughter: Jennifer Bryan and her husband Troy of Winder GA; a sister: Patty Evans and her husband Walter "Bo" of Elberton; several nieces and nephews also survive.Mr. Lesseur was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Roger Lesseur.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating.Burial will be at the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Elberton GA with Military and Masonic Rites.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643 or to the Masonic Home of Georgia, PO Box 4183 Macon, GA 31208.
