Obituary
Mrs. Alma Lois Dickerson Brown, 91, of Athens Street, Hartwell, died Saturday, August 13 at Hart Care Center.
Born on July 27, 1920 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Gibson Dickerson and Minnie Estes Dickerson.She was homemaker and a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jan Hatchett and her husband Bobby of Social Circle GA and Judy Hawkes of Conyers GA; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William H. "Bill" Brown; sister, Emily Dickerson and brothers, James Dickerson and Fay Dickerson.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday evening.The family is at the home.Flowers optional, memorials can be made to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Children's Foundation, 1687 Tullie Circle NE, Atlanta GA 30329 or Hart County Humane Society, PO Box 1062, Hartwell, GA 30643.
