Mrs. Alta Mae Skelton Cleveland, of Springdale Drive, Hartwell, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Hartwell Healthcare Center.

Born in Hartwell, Hart County GA on June 1, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Ozrich Crayton "O.C." Skelton and Pearl McGarity Skelton.She was a seamstress and homemaker and was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Pat Howard Cleveland of Cincinnati, OH; one granddaughter, Rebekah Elizabeth Grutzik and her husband Matthew of Cincinnati, OH; one great-grandchild, Judson Michael Grutzik; and one brother, Marion Skelton of Sugar Hill, GA.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Judson Henry Cleveland; one son, Tommy Judson Cleveland; and two sisters: Reba Dyar and Edna Walters

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with Dr. Donald Little and Rev. Marion Skelton officiating.The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6:00-8:00pm in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell and the family is at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers, special memorials can be made in memory of Mrs. Cleveland to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Church, 273 Mt. Hebron Road, Hartwell, GA30643.
