Mr. Garrison Alvin Roper, 52, of Lack Way, Hartwell, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his home.

Born on April 16, 1962 in Easley, SC he was a son of Mozelle Turner Reeves and the late William Roper. He was a member of the Price Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include mother: Mozelle Reeves of Pelzer, SC; three brothers: Marvin Roper, Bobby Roper, and Mark Roper all of Greenville, SC.; two sisters: Yvonne Smith and Wanda Watts of Pelzer, SC., a special friend: Elaine Lack of Hartwell, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father; one brother Edward Roper.

Memorial services will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Tim Owensby officiating.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. The family is at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
