Carrie Amelia (Hayes) Carter, age 88, of Canon, died Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
Born January 18, 1928 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Willie England and Mary Annie (Hood) Hayes. She was a sales clerk and was a member of New Franklin Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Willie Neal Hayes and sister Sara Lucille Nash.
She is survived by her brother Ronald L. Hayes.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 at the New Franklin Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
The family request no flowers, but memorials can be made to New Franklin Christian Church in Ms. Carter's memory.
