Mrs. Amy Lucille Gulley Phillips, 99, of Bowman Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Hartwell Health and Rehab.

Born on October 27, 1916 in Elberton GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. Gulley and Lila Adams Gulley.Mrs. Phillips was a former lunchroom supervisor for Hart County High School and Heritage Inn Nursing Home.She was a member of Bio Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters: Helen P. Nelson of Lakeland, Florida and Lynda P. Nelson of Lawrenceville, Georgia; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Isom H. Phillips; two daughters: Beth P. Cook, Nancy Dale Phillips; two brothers: Thomas Gulley Jr. and Aubrey Gulley.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Dale Zaborskie officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.The family is at their respective home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hart County Humane Society, PO Box 1062, Hartwell GA 30643.
