Analita DeJuras Roque, age 65, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, GA of ovarian cancer.
Born July 26, 1955, in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines, the daughter of the late Benito and Vicenta DeJuras Roque. She is survived by her daughter: Jennifer Ann Roque and son-in-law Paolo Jose Santos.
She emigrated to the United States in 1985 as a legal resident, and finalized her citizenship in 2019. She spent the majority of her life in New Orleans, LA, where she raised her daughter and worked to put herself through school. In 2016, she moved to Jacksonville, FL to live with her daughter who was stationed at NAS Jacksonville.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved experimenting with food and sharing it with those closest to her. She was very expressive and genial--always making jokes to lighten any mood. She will be missed.
Ms. Roque was cremated in accordance with her request. She will be buried in Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca, South Carolina.
