Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Ann Hix Brown, age 76 of 157 Lavonia Highway, Bowersville, Ga., died Saturday, April 5 at her home.
Born November 19, 1931 in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Milton Hix and Mamie Madden Hix. She was a retired seamstress from Bellcraft Mfg., and was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church and former Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by: Husband, James O. Brown of the home, sons, Jimmy Brown of Hartwell, Ga., and Louie (Pee Wee) Brown of Hartwell, Ga., brothers, Kent Hix, Bowersville, Ga., Leon Hix, Lawrenceville, Ga., Dean Hix, Decatur, Ga., Lemuel and Phil Hix of Hartwell, Ga., sisters, Bobbie Nichols, Stockbridge, Ga., and Nell Parker, Cape Coral, Fl. Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.The body will lie in state at 1:30 prior to the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will be at the home.
