Mrs. Ann C. Cordell, 83, of 211 Beaverdam Farm Road, Canon, wife of T.J. Cordell, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA.
Born on January 19, 1929 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry E. Carlton and Irene Bond Carlton.She was retired from Dunlop and co-owner of Cordell's Jewelers. She was a supporter of the Ladies Auxillary, Gideons International, Hart County Camp.
Survivors include her husband, T.J. Cordell; two daughters: Barbara Cordell of Canon; Jo Beth Guest and her husband Herman of Carlton, GA; one son, Mark Cordell and his wife Debbie of Hartwell; one grandson, Allen Cordell; one brother, James Carlton and his wife Elnora of Canon; two sister-in-laws: Hazel Carlton and Martha Jo Carlton, both of Canon.Mrs. Cordell was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Wanda Cordell; and two brothers: Charles Carlton and Bond Carlton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Claude Herbert and Rev. Don Richards officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
