IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann Clark
Holloman
May 27, 1931 – February 19, 2024
Mrs. Ann Brown Clark Holloman died Monday, February 19, 2024 at home in Provo, Utah.
She was the widow of Retired Air Force SSGT Richard C. Holloman, Sr, married in 1950 in Macon, GA. He predeceased her in 2011 in Athens, GA. Born in Tampa, FL on May 27, 1931 during the Great Depression, she was the only child of Jim Tom Clark and Mazelle Brown Clark, both raised in Elbert County, GA. Her happy childhood in Tifton and Albany, GA was followed by her move to Macon, GA where she was an honor graduate of Miller High School and attended Wesleyan College.
Overcoming many physical ailments, Ann was blessed with and survived by two sons, Richard Charles Holloman, Jr. (Sharon Anne Moss) and Clark Edward Holloman (Cristy Lyn Curles) and three daughters, Theresa H. Tuck (Wayne), Kathryn H. Adams, and Cristi H. Myers, and gloried in her twelve grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren!
Richard's military assignments gave them many remarkable opportunities to experience the wonders of the world and make many far-flung friends. Ann served in many church and community capacities, including as Regent of the Commodore Richard Dale Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and President of Dougherty Co., GA Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy, and for many years as Family History Librarian at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in several locations. An avid genealogist, she enjoyed helping others search for their own families. She was an early adopter of technology with which she self-published several books of vital historical records of Elbert and Hart Counties, Georgia, as well as honoring her own ancestors and relatives. Her efforts to help gather families continued during her retirement years in Royston and Athens, GA as well Birmingham, AL and Provo, UT.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 3 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.
