Mrs. Ann Whitsel Lunceford, 77, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born on June 24, 1942 in Carnesville GA, she was the daughter of the late John "Billy" Whitsel and Guynelle Lunsford Whitsel.Mrs. Lunceford was a former seamstress with Bellcraft Mfg. and retired as a Para Pro from Hartwell Elementary.She also was a member of the Mt. Olivet Church of God.

Survivors include her two dogs: Hunter and Amazing Grace: one sister: Beverly Casey (William) of Fair Play SC, nieces: Lindsey Gotham (Edward) of Fair Play SC, Kisha Barnes (Thad) of Fair Play SC; special friends: Kristian Crocker, Barbara Berrong, Carol Segars; one granddaughter: Heather Sides (John) of Bowman; four great nieces and nephews; and two great grandchildren.Mrs. Lunceford was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert "Bob" Lunceford; and one brother:John Whitsel.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Lunceford will be held Monday, February 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. David Blizzard officiating.Burial will be in the Trinity Church Cemetery.
