Ms. Annie Ruth Canady, 64, of 1487 Beacon Light Rd., Hartwell, died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born July 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Britten Canady and Zula Freeman Canady. She was retired from Gip'sManufacturing Company and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd and Boyd Canady and a sister, Elease Duffee.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell. Rev. Joe Black will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday evening. The family will be at the home of Shane and Janie Moon, 1471 Moore Road, Hartwell, Ga.
