Mrs. Annie Owens Dyar, 89, of Williams Street, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on May 30, 1930 in Mt. Airy GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. Owens and Nina Cleveland Owens.Mrs. Dyar was a retired seamstress for the Hartwell Company and was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter: Martha E. Yawn of Springfield GA; a son: Donnie Eaton of Hartwell; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Dyar was preceded in death by two sons: Ronnie Eaton and Jimmy Eaton; four sisters: Ruby Dickson, Mattie Ruth Sanders, Lizzie Mae Sellers and Johnnie Sue Owens and four brothers: James Waymon Owens, Fred Owens, Frank Owens and Arnold Owens.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Dyar will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
