Mrs. Annie Ruth (Baty) Harbin, age 92, of Lavonia, died Monday, January 7, 2008 in Lexington.
Born February 4, 1915, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Cleveland Baty and Lillie P. (Clodfelter) Baty. She was employed at Carwood Mfg. for 18 years and later retired from Stone Mfg. Company. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband: George Ellis Harbin; sons: Howard & Herbert Harbin; grandchildren: Anna Maria Smith & Johnny E. Harbin; brothers: Horace, George, Arthur Lee, & Frank Baty; and sisters: Mary Freeman, Susie Hill, & Cora Baty.
Survivors include daughter: Hazel Smith of Hartwell; sons: Hoyt & Harold Harbin of Lavonia; Twelve grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren, and Eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Revs. Bruce Moore, Randy Adams, & Frank Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
