Mrs. Annie Ruth Perry McCurley, 102, of W. Howell Street, Hartwell, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Manor Care of Marietta.

Born on April 24, 1914 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. Perry and Claudia Addie Embler Perry.Mrs. McCurley was a retired supervisor for Hartwell Garment Co. for 37 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.

Survivors include her daughter: Shirley M. Herndon and Hewell of Marietta; three grandchildren: Kathy Herndon, Karen Price and Kim Hilley; three great-grandchildren: Brandy Price, Taylor Price and Dakota Price and two great great-grandchildren: Tessa Price and Wesley Price.Mrs. McCurley was preceded in death by her husband: James Dan McCurley; two sisters: Mabel P. Skelton and Bessie P. Segars and four brothers: Elmer Perry, Olin Perry, George Perry and Joel Perry.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Hugh Kirby and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
