Mrs.Annie Lee Simpson Posey, 92 of Cade Street, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.

Born on August 9, 1923, in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late David Earl Simpson and Elvie Stone Simpson.Mrs. Posey was retired from Clarke Schwebel Fiberglass Corp and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three nieces: Christine Welborn of Hartwell, Susan Thomas of Hartwell, and Iola Chastain of Monroe.Mrs. Posey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Roy Posey, one brother: M B Simpson and two sisters: Ruby Atkinson and Lula Skelton.

Memorial services will be Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. before the service.
