Annie Lee (MaHaffey) Richardson Cook, age 97, of Lavonia, Georgia (formerly of LaFayette, GA), passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at her home. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.
Annie was preceded in death by husbands, Rufus Richardson and Charlie "Doc" Cook; parents, Terry and Julie Davis MaHaffey; daughter, Barbara Dean; step-sons, J.C. Richardson and Richard Cook; son-in-law: Rev. Willard Fitzpatrick; sisters, Lula Martin, Martha Goff, and Rosie MaHaffey; brothers, Tom MaHaffey, Clyde MaHaffey, Marvin MaHaffey, Sam MaHaffey, and Jim MaHaffey.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Lou Eavenson of Lavonia; stepdaughter, Linda Jackson of LaFayette, GA; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel, in LaFayette, with Rev. Tim Redden and Raymond Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in the East Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements in Lafayette, GA.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Lavonia Church of God with Rev. Adam Tripp and Raymond Fitzpatrick officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
