Mrs. Annie Ruth King Madden, 90, of 12 Cobb Village Drive, Royston, GA, formerly of Sunset Drive, Hartwell, GA, widow of Edward Eugene Madden, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at The Gables, Royston, GA.
Born July 30, 1918 in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Speed R. King and Sally Hamby King.She was a homemaker and worked at American Laundry and Dry Cleaning.She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She is survived by: Son, James E. Madden of Charleston, SC; A large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; two special friends, Diane Crocker and Joan Johnson who provided daughter – like devotion, care and love.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Edward E. "Gene" Madden; Brothers, Ray King and James King.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Jerry Durham will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to service.The family is at their respective homes. The family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to the Charity of One's Choice.
