Mrs. Annie Sue Cobb Smith, age 88, of 70 Morris Rd., Hartwell, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Hart County Hospital.
Born January 9, 1920 in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Marshall Cobb and Essie Pierce Cobb.She was retired from Bellcraft Mfg. as a machine operator. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
She is survived by: Sons, Bob Smith of Hartwell, GA and Tim Smith of East Point, GA; Daughters, Jean Madden of Hartwell, GA, Shirley Barnard of Hartwell, GA and Janice Bharadwaj of Fullerton, CA; Brothers, James Cobb, John Cobb, Tom Cobb all of Hartwell, GA and Charles M. Cobb of Sumter, SC, Special Friend, Bill Tuttle; 10 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren also survives.She is preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Troy Smith and 2nd husband Lloyd Bowers; Son, Tommy Smith; Brothers, Furman, Hubert, R.M. and Winfred Cobb and a Sister, Faye Crowe.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Joe Black, Rev. David Wilson and Rev. Scott Mize will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 ~ 9:00 p.m. The family is at the home of Bob and Barbara Smith, 330 Azalea Drive, Hartwell, GA.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Mt.
