April Dawn Nix Blakely, age 45, of Martin, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at AnMed Health in Anderson.

April was born on October 22, 1980, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Brenda Carter Nix and the late Johnny Lee Hubert Nix. A graduate of Hart County High School, April dedicated her life to caring for others as a home health nurse.

April found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She loved motorcycle riding and beach getaways. She enjoyed shopping, especially for candles and blankets. April was a member of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Chad Lee Rhinehart.

In addition to her mother, April is survived by her spouse, Brian Blakely; her sons, Hunter Blakely and Brent Carter; and her daughter, Maddison Neal (Ronald). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Waylon Neal and Everlynn Neal; her sisters, Crystal Scott (Kendall) and Tammy Nix; nieces and nephews, Amber Fulbright, Joshua Scott, Sabrina Scott, Matthew Scott, Leigh Ann Gill, Kevin White, and Tiffany Hulme, her beloved dog, Britches, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, November 17th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In accordance with her request, April will be cremated following the visitation.
