Arnold L. Fetters, age 82, of Lavonia, died Saturday, February 06, 2016 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
Born June 9, 1933, in Auburn, Indiana, he was the son of the late Paul and Ellen (White) Fetters. Mr. Fetters was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion. Prior to retirement, he worked for BF Goodrich – Uniroyal as quality supervisor.
He is survived by his wife Donna Marie (Teller) Fetters; daughter: Joyce Shaw; son: James Fetters; step-daughters: Ginny Norris and Jeri Steffen; sisters: Ruth Hart and Esther Gandee; and nine grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter: Joylyn Toy; and brother: Ervin Fetters.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Tompkins and Mr. Darby Hall officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours, the family will be at the home of Ginny Norris, 48 Woodland Manor, Royston, GA 30662.
