Mr. R. Arnold Risner, 88, of Baker Street, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Hart Care Center.

Born on April 21, 1929 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Rubin R. Risner and Eula Rogers Risner.Mr. Risner was a retired machine operator from Tenneco and a member of the Mt. Olivet Church of God.

Survivors include a son: Allen Risner and his wife Audrey of Royston; daughter-in-law: Alice Risner of Hartwell; two brothers: James Risner of Bowersville, Danny Risner of Hartwell; two sisters: Ruth Ann Fielder, Nancy Edmonds both of Lilburn; two grandchildren: Tony Risner, Debbie Risner and three great-grandchildren: Austin Risner, Ashley Driver and Aiken Risner also survive.Mr. Risner was preceded in death by his wife: Ruby Nell Harper Risner; one son: Tommy Risner; one grandson: Brandon Risner; one brother: Gerald Risner and one sister: Hauline Brooks

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.The family is at the home 54 Baker Street, Hartwell, GA.
