Mrs. Audrey Mae Ferguson Gibson, 72, of 189 Benson Street, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at her residence.
Born May 8, 1934 in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Basil Ferguson and Eria Mae Mater Ferguson.She was retired from the State of Michigan as a Psychiatric Nurse.
She is survived by:Daughters, Sherry Lee Gibson Hortman and her husband Fred of Hartwell, GA and Sandra Lynn Gibson Lind of Newton, NC; Sister, Doris O'Dell of Ridge Manor, FL; Five grandchildren, Henry Kennewey of Lakeland, MI, Brian Kennewey of Bellevue, WA, Michelle Lind of Naples, FL, Lindsey Lind of Naples, FL and Sean Lind of Naples, FL.She is preceded in death by parents and a brother, Eldon H. Ferguson.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Benson Bottoms and Mr. Mike Miller will officiate.The body will be cremated after the service.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
The Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
