Mrs. Avis Fleming Wesp, age 77, of 60 Cherry Street, Hartwell, GA, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
Born November 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Carl Fleming and Mae Lillie Crocker Fleming.She was retired from the Clerical Department - Tinker Air Force Base, OK.She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Sons, Dale Wesp, David Wesp, Donnie Wesp of Fullerton, CA and Doug Wesp, Haverhill, Mass; Daughters, Donna Perez of Fullerton, CA and Angel Wesp of Fullerton, CA; Brother, Charles Fleming of Atlanta, GA; Sisters, Irene Dutton of Atlanta, GA and Peggy Gann of Atlanta, GA; Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Son, Michael Wesp; Brother, Carl "Junior" Fleming and two sisters, Mary Harris and Annie V. Lewis .
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.Rev. Terry Meeks will officiate.The family will receive friends at Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel from 12:00 – 2:00 on Wednesday prior to the graveside. In lieu of flowers; Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy., Hartwell, GA30643.
