Mrs. Barbara Ann Wyrick Brown, 74, of Hartwell, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born May 3, 1948 in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Granville Wyrick and Helen McFarland Wyrick.  Mrs. Brown received a Bachelor's Degree from Gardner-Webb University and was a retired teacher of the Rutherford County School System in North Carolina.

She is survived by two sons:  Tommy Brown (Valerie) of Rutherfordton, NC and Michael Brown (Jennifer) of Simpsonville, SC; a sister: Donna Rule (Ricky) of Kernersville, NC; two grandchildren: Hannah Brown Russ (Philip) of Shelby, NC and Benson Brown (Payton Lee) of Inman, SC; and a great-grandchild: Audree Brown; two sisters-in-law: Joy Brown of Elberton, GA and Pauline Brown of Jackson, TN; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years: Chandler Thornton Brown; three brothers-in-law: William Brown, Jimmy Brown and Maxwell Brown; and one sister-in-law:  Amanda Brown.

A private memorial service celebrating Mrs. Barbara Brown's life will be held at a later date by the family.
