Mrs. Barbara Aldene (Massey) Dinkins, age 84, of Demorest, formerly of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Habersham Home – East in Demorest.
Born October 20, 1934, in Stephens County, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Edith (Moore) Massey. She retired from Hospital Collections Agency and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: S. C. Dinkins, III.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law: Cindy & David Herndon of Cleveland; sons & daughters-in-law: Richard & Dianne Gunn of Toccoa, Ernie & Tammy Gunn of Martin, and Timothy & Tracie Gunn of Carnesville; ten grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dinkins was cremated in accordance with her request. The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Northeast Georgia Council on Domestic Violence (www.negacdv.org).
