Mrs. Barbara Helen Crittendon Cook Jordan, 81, of Old 29 Hwy., Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her home.
Born on September 27, 1934 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late William Welborn "Bill" Crittendon and Gaspy Pearl Cleveland Crittendon.Mrs. Jordan was a retired weaver with Haynesworth Textileand a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons: Bobby Joe Cook, Doug Cook, David Cook; two daughters: Cheryl Ann Cook Vasile, Lynn Cook all of Hartwell; step-children: Patricia Stamey, Peggy Fountain, both of Anderson, Pam Laviolette of Hartwell; fifteengrandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; two brothers: Herbert "Happy" Crittendon of Hartwell, Gerald "Grub" Crittendon of Tuscola, TX; five sisters: Charlotte Crump, Sandra Tucker, Gail Massey all of Hartwell,Joan Neal of Sandy Springs, SC, and Betty Alexander of Anderson, SC. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Joseph (Jody) Cook and her second husband: Marvin Jordan; andone brother: Hugh Crittendon.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.The family is at the home.
