Mr. Barney Michael Barningham Sr., 65, of Hickory Place, Lavonia GA, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville GA.
Born on October 24, 1950 in Lilburn GA, he was the son of the late William Barningham and Geneva McAdams Barningham.Mr. Barningham was a member of the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his spouse: Margaret M. Tolbert; a son: Michael Barningham Jr. of Martin; two step-sons: Edwin Tolbert and Alan Tolbert both of Hartwell; seven step-daughters: Vanessa Isabel of Eastanollee, Sandra Tolbert of Hartwell, Deborah Cagle and Marilyn Jordan both of Canon, Pamela Hill and Susan Lee both of Lavonia and Cynthia Holbrook of Cleveland GA; a brother: William Barningham of Acworth GA; a sister: Barbara Beyers of Royston; one grandson, fourteen step-grandchildren and sixteen step-great grandchildren also survive.
A service celebrating Barney's life will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Compassion Baptist Church, Carnesville GA with Rev. Leon Carson and Mr. Rob Hill officiating.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
