Mr. Baron L. Goldsmith, age 69, of 1970 Mt. Olivet Rd., Hartwell, GA., died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at his home.
Born October 21, 1938 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late William Jacob Goldsmith and Etta Estelle Bryson Goldsmith.He was a Shipping Clerk at L.H.P.He was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of God and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by:Wife, Cornelia Cromer Goldsmith of the home; Daughter and son in law, Teresa and Mark Haygood of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Charlotte Corn of Hartwell, GA, Jane Hawkins of Hartwell, GA and Sara Frances "Sakie" Hyde of Hartwell, GA; Four grandchildren, Will Goldsmith, Caroline Haygood, Suzanne Haygood and Zachary Haygood.He is preceded in death by his Parents; Son, William Mark Goldsmith; Brothers, Joe and Quoty Goldsmith and Sisters, Evie Stovall and Gladys Loftis.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Wayne Durden and Rev. Joey Pless will officiate.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery with Dr. Steve Williams officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 to 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
